Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center is seeking a Medical-Surgical/Acute Care RN to provide coordinated, patient-centered care. You will collaborate with physicians and the care team to assess, plan, administer medications, and document patient progress, while supporting families and maintaining safety across age groups.

The role requires 1 year of Med/Surg experience, active Tennessee nursing licensure, and a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• The nurse must have at least 1 year of Med/Surg experience.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current Tennessee Board of Nursing licensure or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification.
• Pursue Med-Surg certification within 12 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care for patients in Med/Surg/Acute Care.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to support patients and families.
• Perform assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, and document care.
• Demonstrate nursing process and technical skills to meet patient needs.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Medical Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse will provide and coordinate care for patients. The Registered nurseis responsible forcollaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Daily responsibilities of the Registered nurse include but are not limitedto:assessments and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, proper maintenance of equipment, and communication of patient needs.

What you will do in this role:

• You will be performing patient roundingin an effort tomaximize patient satisfaction and quality standards.

• You willdemonstrateknowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served as per Scope of Service.

• You will promote customer service initiatives.

• You are given the opportunity toutilizenursingprocess for individual care to meetneedsof patients.

• In thisroleyou willdemonstrateyour ability to perform technical skills and procedures.

What qualifications you will need:

• Minimum of 1 year med/surg experience

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing

• Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or other acceptable Board of Nursing

• Current BLS certification

• Pursue and complete Med-Surg certification within 1 year from date of hire
