The role involves hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, blood bank and microbiology analyses, phlebotomy, and maintaining quality control records in a fast-paced hospital setting near Perris, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Performs analyses in hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, blood bank and microbiology according to expected performance standards.
• Performs venipuncture, finger stick, or heel stick on identified patients by physician's request in a timely, accurate and caring manner.
• Keeps documented records current regarding maintenance and quality control.
• Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.
• Be capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and notify the supervisor or director.
