Job summary

Wilson Health in Sidney, Ohio is seeking a part-time Medical Surgical-Telemetry Health Unit Coordinator/Patient Care Technician for 24 hours per week on the 3rd Shift (7P–7A, every 3rd weekend/holiday) within the Acute Care unit.

The role supports patient care under RN/LPN direction, handles patient records, coordinates unit activities, and ensures supplies are available. Requires Nurse Aide Training and current BLS, plus a high school diploma and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent.
• Completed Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program, or 3–6 months related hospital experience and/or training, or equivalent.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English with strong interpersonal skills.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Enter patient information/registrations and physician orders to ensure continuity of care.
• Assist with coordinating unit activities and ensure necessary supplies for patient care are available.
• Maintain open communication with patients, families, and team members to facilitate therapeutic interventions.
• Assist in meeting physical and emotional needs of patients under RN/LPN supervision.
• Carry out assigned treatments and procedures under RN/LPN direction.
• Provide care based on ethical principles and respect for patient dignity.
