Riverside Health System in Newport News, Virginia is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under supervision of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses. The role involves performing specified treatments, ensuring patient safety, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and adhering to care plans and hospital policies.

Candidates should have CNA certification (or instructor status) upon hire and CPR/BLS certification.

Formación

One year of prior experience in acute health care setting (Preferred).
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required (Virginia Dept. of Health Professions) upon hire.
CPR/BLS certification required upon hire or CPR/BLS Instructor certification.

Responsabilidades

Demonstrates understanding of technology systems for patient data collection.
Ensures availability of resources (equipment, supplies) to support patient outcomes.
Maintains a clean, safe environment and properly stores equipment and supplies.
Follows plan of care and performs treatments under direction of RN/LPN, including tasks such as enemas, vital signs, ice applications, sitz baths, specimen collection, and more as unit competency allows.
Completes required documentation accurately within scope of practice.
Participates in training and supports team members and learners as needed.
