CHRISTUS Health in Santa Fe, NM seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to support routine patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse in an acute care unit. This per diem role requires shift coverage from 7AM to 7PM, on-site work, and involvement in patient-focused activities and clerical tasks.

Responsibilities include assisting admissions/discharges, preparing rooms, transporting patients, and maintaining supplies.

Competenze

CNA license required in the state of employment.
BLS certification required.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Patient care experience in acute care is preferred.

Mansioni

Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
Complete pertinent documents.
Prepare rooms for admission by setting up IV pots and adjusting bed.
Safely transport stable patients as required.
Maintain confidentiality when transporting patients and interacting with family and visitors.
Clean, procure and return equipment and supplies.
Run errands for the unit as required.
Replenish patient room with water, linen, and towels; assist as needed.
Perform unit-specific patient care tasks per checklist and flowsheet.
Identify changes in patient condition and report promptly to the nurse in charge.
Assist with ordering and maintenance of stock items and inventory.
Keep unit supplies organized and accessible.
Respond to emergencies and call lights.
Communicate effectively with team members across shifts.
