Job summary

Good Samaritan Hospital – San Jose, CA is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist (PRN) to support inpatient care, ensuring safe and effective medication use and collaborating with the pharmacy team, nurses and physicians to resolve drug-related issues.

The role includes evaluating therapies, adjusting doses, ordering labs, and providing pharmacokinetic guidance. Training of pharmacists, students, and technicians may be offered, depending on needs and credentials.

Qualifications

• B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• A current and valid license as a registered pharmacist in the state of California.
• One-year recent hospital acute care experience required.
• PGY Residency preferred.
• One-year recent ED hospital acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact daily with pharmacy team, nurses, physicians and other staff and intervene in drug therapy issues.
• Provide medication information and consultation on pharmacokinetics, dose adjustments and laboratory monitoring.
• Participate in training of new pharmacists, pharmacy students and technicians.
