Job summary

JobRx, Inc. seeks a Pharmacist II, Acute Care to support cardiology and internal medicine teams in the US. You will prepare and dispense medications, monitor therapy, and help ensure safe, effective pharmacotherapy for acutely ill patients.

Key duties include supervising pharmacy technicians, interpreting orders, and collaborating with physicians and nurses to optimize care. A Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy is required, with 3 years' experience and NC licensure within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy required.
• 3 years of experience required.
• Must be registered pharmacist in NC within 60 days of hire; BLS CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and follows physician instructions to deliver the correct care to the correct patient.
• Oversees and verifies prescription order entry, packaging and dispensing.
• Provides and monitors pharmacy driven protocols, drug utilization and medication-related information to healthcare professionals, patients and the public.
• Supervises pharmacy technicians.
• Precepts students.
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to optimize medication therapy and ensure patient safety.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
