RD Nutrition Consultants, LLC is seeking a Clinical Registered Dietitian to join our team in Lancaster, CA. The role offers 32-40 hours per week with flexible days and hours.

Compensation ranges from $50 to $55 per hour, based on experience, plus benefits and mileage reimbursement. The successful candidate will assess, plan, implement, and monitor nutrition care for patients with complex medical conditions in an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (RD/RDN).
• Minimum 1-3 years of recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Proficiency in enteral and parenteral nutrition support.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients at nutritional risk.
• Develop and monitor individualized nutrition care plans for complex conditions.
• Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and families.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, speech-language pathologists, and case managers.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards (e.g., TJC, CMS).
• Maintain thorough and timely EHR documentation reflecting medical necessity.
• Monitor weight, labs, fluid status, and clinical condition; adjust interventions as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education.
