Job summary

Capyear seeks an Acute Care Assistant to work under an RN and deliver non-licensure direct patient care. Responsibilities include hygiene, ADLs, nutrition support, vitals, EKGs, and ambulation, with a focus on compassionate interaction with patients and staff. Safety in handling infectious materials is emphasized to protect all patients and employees.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, current BLS, and preferably CNA certification, along with knowledge of basic patient care in acute settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• CNA certification preferred.
• Knowledge of basic patient care and safety in acute settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care services that do not require licensure.
• Assist with patient hygiene and activities of daily living.
• Support nutritional needs and monitor vital signs.
• Perform EKGs and assist with ambulation and other basic tasks.
• Maintain positive relations with patients, visitors, physicians and staff.
• Ensure safe handling of infectious material to protect all patients and employees.
