Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital is seeking a Temporary Internal Registry RN in Chicago to join the Behavioral Health, Adult Intensive Male unit. The shift runs days from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with a 12-week assignment that may extend based on staffing needs.

The RN will perform standard nursing duties, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality psychiatric and medical care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification current upon hire.
• Knowledge of Mental Health laws and practice standards.
• Understanding of interdisciplinary treatment team process in behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and support in behavioral health units.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, therapies, and self-care.
• administer medications and monitor treatment responses.
• document patient histories, tests, and progress; assist with follow-up.
