Job summary

Soar Physical Therapy is seeking a licensed acupuncturist to diagnose and treat using acupuncture, cups, herbal preparations and supportive therapies. The role focuses on orthopedic, dietary, mental health and pain management outcomes within a clinician-led network.

Applicants should have a masters level credential and an active acupuncture license, plus strong communication, customer service and counseling skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients condition and administers appropriate treatment of symptoms and disorders to promote care and healing of orthopedic conditions, diet, lifestyle and psychological health, as well as provide pain management.
• Identifies the correct anatomical and proportional point locations based on patients anatomy.
• Treats patients using tools such as needles, cups, ear balls, seeds, pellets and nutritional supplements.
• Analyzes physical findings and medical histories to make diagnoses, then determine and administer therapeutic treatment strategies.
• Takes precautions related to treatments such as intradermal needles, moxibustion, eletricity, gua sha and bleeding.
• Formulates herbal preparations based on their herbal properties to treat conditions.
• Evaluates treatment outcomes and recommends new or altered treatments to promote, restore or maintain health.
• Educates patients on topics such as meditation, ergonomics, stretching, exercise, nutrition, the healing process, breathing and relaxation techniques.

Diagnose, treat, and prevent disorders by stimulating specific acupuncture points within the
body using acupuncture needles. May also use cups, nutritional supplements, therapeutic
massage, acupressure, and other alternative health therapies.
