Job summary

Premise Health in New York, NY is seeking a Full-Time Acupuncturist to provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in New York, NY. Flexible work schedule options of 8:00am-5:00pm or 9:00am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday. Unique opportunity!

Responsibilities include administering acupuncture, reviewing medical history, selecting needles, and coordinating with other health practitioners. 3+ years’ experience and BLS required; ACAOM certification preferred. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 3 year post-graduate acupuncture program & a master’s degree (C.A.) required.
• Current hands on certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for health care providers.
• ACAOM certification preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience.

• Administers specific therapeutic treatment of symptoms and disorders amenable to acupuncture procedures.
• Reviews patient's medical history, physical findings, and diagnosis to ascertain symptoms or disorder to be treated.
• Selects needles of various lengths, according to location of insertion.
• Inserts needles at locations of body known to be efficacious to certain disorders, utilizing knowledge of acupuncture points and their functions.
• Leaves needles in patient for specific length of time, according to symptom or disorder treated, and removes needles.
• Employs additional techniques such as Moxibustion, Electroacupuncture, Acupressure and QiGong as indicated.
• Consults with and refers patients to appropriate health practitioners when necessary.

What You’ll Do

• Employs additional techniques as appropriate according to indication, expertise and training including, Moxibustion, Electroacupuncture, Acupressure and QiGong (oriental breathing techniques)
• Consults with and refers patients to appropriate health practitioners when necessary
• May require other duties as assigned

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $129,108.00 - $161,385.00 annually. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
