Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a full-time Acupuncturist to provide on-site care for our Mountain View, CA employees. You will administer acupuncture and related therapies in a dedicated Health Center, with regular hours Monday–Friday 8a–5p.

Responsibilities include reviewing medical histories, selecting needle lengths, and applying techniques like moxibustion and electroacupuncture, with patient referrals as needed. Competitive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 3 year post-graduate acupuncture program and a master’s degree (C.A.) required.
• Current hands-on certification in BLS (AHA or ARC) for health care providers.
• ACAOM certification preferred.
• 3+ years’ acupuncture experience.

Responsibilities

• Administers acupuncture treatments to employees in the on-site Health Center.
• Reviews medical histories and diagnoses to determine appropriate care.
• Selects insertion points and appropriate needle lengths.
• Inserts needles and manages duration of treatment, with adjunct techniques as indicated.
• May refer patients to other health practitioners when needed.

As a Full Time Acupuncturist, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Mountain View, CA. The scheduled hours are Monday-Friday, 8a-5p.

What You’ll Do

• Administers specific therapeutic treatment of symptoms and disorders amenable to acupuncture procedures
• Reviews patient's medical history, physical findings, and diagnosis to ascertain symptoms or disorder to be treated
• Selects needles of various lengths, according to location of insertion
• Inserts needles at locations of body known to be efficacious to certain disorders, utilizing knowledge of acupuncture points and their functions
• Leaves needles in patient for specific length of time, according to symptom or disorder treated, and removes needles
• Employs additional techniques as appropriate according to indication, expertise and training including, Moxibustion, Electroacupuncture, Acupressure and QiGong (oriental breathing techniques)
• Consults with and refers patients to appropriate health practitioners when necessary
• May require other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $134,800.00 - $168,500.00 annually. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
