Job summary

Transamerica is seeking an actuary to join the Model Development and First Line Validation team in a hybrid role based in Cedar Rapids. You will work with AXIS models across Life, Health and Annuity spaces, influencing statutory reserves, IFRS 17 liabilities, US GAAP, tax reserves, and capital testing.

The role involves leading testing plans, baselining the US GAAP implementation, and collaborating with risk teams.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to modeling best practices and AXIS model standards.
• Support US GAAP calculations in Life, Health and Annuity AXIS models.
• Lead baselining and review of US GAAP implementation in AXIS models.
• Collaborate with experience studies, business units and risk teams to design testing plans.
• Serve as a resource for KC3 KC8 reviews and annual technical validations.
• Lead special projects including AI adoption to improve workflows.
