Job summary

Argo Group is seeking an Actuary - Pricing to support the actuarial pricing strategy for our Specialty lines. You will independently solve complex problems, provide direction to business partners, and bring fresh ideas for portfolio optimization.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or Finance.
3+ years of predictive modeling experience.
Prefer 4+ ACAS exams or equivalent experience.
Strong programming skills in SQL, R, Python.
Rate filing experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain predictive models to support pricing strategy and portfolio optimization.
Collaborate with underwriting, claims, finance, IT, and marketing on pricing initiatives.
Conduct actuarial and financial analysis to quantify performance.
Lead loss ratio planning and quarterly reforecasting.
Create datasets and automate reports for actuarial analysis.
Manage rate filings where applicable.
