Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a motivated actuarial analytics intern to collaborate with the Actuary/Analytics team on ongoing projects. You will work with data sets to map structures and identify correlations, and you will help identify and acquire additional data to improve relevance and accuracy.

You will perform mathematical and quantitative actuarial tasks, including reserve calculations, pricing analysis, and financial projections, while receiving guidance under supervision.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics
  • A high degree of skill in mathematics and statistics
  • Affinity for learning how to use and develop technical tools for working with data sets
  • Willingness to leverage data to deliver business insights or improve decision-making processes
  • Intermediate or Advanced Excel skills
  • Working knowledge of VBA or SQL
  • Experience with SAS highly preferred
  • Must have at least one actuarial exam completed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must live in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut or Delaware
