Job summary

Humana is seeking an Associate Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting to analyze and forecast financial and healthcare data to support strategic decisions. You will own input checks for Medicare Advantage underwriting margins and collaborate with data suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• ASA or FSA designation required.
• Demonstrated ability to articulate ideas effectively in both written and oral forms.
• MS Office proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and forecast financial, economic, and other data for strategic and operational decisions.
• Own input and reasonableness checks for various assumptions in Medicare Advantage underwriting margin forecast.
• Collaborate with data suppliers to understand data, troubleshoot problems, and conduct root cause analysis.
• Support monthly presentation of results to stakeholders for strategic decision making.
• Enhance the methodology of claims/premium forecasting and include other lines of business in the model.
