Job summary

Arbol is building an AI-enabled homeowners insurance platform focused on coastal markets. We seek an actuary to lead pricing, reserving, reinsurance analytics, and portfolio analytics while collaborating with AI and engineering teams to scale actuarial workflows.

You'll work primarily on homeowners' insurance with opportunities to expand into new lines. Strong Python, Excel skills and ownership mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of P&C actuarial experience and ACAS/FCAS preferred.
• Strong ownership mindset with ability to drive work forward.
• Fluent in Excel and Python; able to build repeatable analyses.
• Clear communication of findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Pricing & rate indications: develop rate indications and pricing analyses.
• Reserving & loss analytics: perform quarterly reserve analyses and monitor trends.
• Portfolio management: build dashboards and assess exposure and performance.
• Actuarial automation & AI: translate logic into automated Python tools.
• Cross-functional support: collaborate with Underwriting, Claims, Finance, and Data/Engineering.
