The Opportunity

As a dedicated credentialed Actuary on the Forecasting Team, you will provide accurate and insightful projections for forecast processes and communicate results to key business partners at all levels to drive strategic decision-making. You will also mentor and guide junior team members to foster a culture of learning and development.

Additional responsibilities may include leveraging advanced pricing knowledge to lead and complete broad, complex projects with countrywide product-level impact.

This position can work remotely in the continental U.S. with occasional business travel.

What You'll Do
  • Apply advanced actuarial knowledge to complete broad and complex projects, such as evaluating methodologies for pricing new discounts, developing regulatory-compliant approaches, monitoring model performance, translating business problems into technical solutions, and running catastrophe models to support critical activities.
  • Utilize advanced actuarial, mathematical, or statistical techniques to support decision-making.
  • Lead special projects, including developing new methodologies or reporting tools.
  • Train new team members on relevant actuarial methodologies.
  • Apply deep understanding of supported products, stakeholder needs, and industry trends to solve unstructured business problems.
  • Identify and address compliance gaps and process improvements, recommending solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Represent the Actuary in cross-functional efforts.
  • Develop written communications and presentations to convey data-driven solutions to broad audiences, including executive leadership.
  • Ensure risks are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in line with policies and procedures.
What You Have
  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of related actuarial/business/analytical experience in lieu of degree.
  • 4 years of actuarial or analytical business experience.
  • Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) credential.
  • Advanced skills in relevant actuarial, mathematical, and statistical techniques supporting fact-based decision-making.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Python, R, SQL, SAS, BI tools, and industry data and methods, with the ability to connect insights to business problems.
  • Experience communicating complex solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership.

Compensation range: $127,310 - $243,340.

Salary is based on experience and market data, and may vary by location. Employees may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
