The Opportunity

As a dedicated Credentialed Actuary Lead, you will leverage broad actuarial knowledge in areas such as pricing, reserving, modeling, catastrophe risk, claims analytics, or product management to solve complex problems that impact business results at the line of business level.

There are two positions available: one on the Forecasting Team and another on the Auto Indications Team. The Forecasting Team position involves providing projections and insights for strategic decision-making, including innovation across lines like Auto, Home, and Specialty. The Auto Indications Team role focuses on process standardization and automation, working with regional/state actuaries to implement indication results.

This role can be remote within the continental U.S. with occasional travel.

What You'll Do
  1. Apply advanced actuarial techniques to develop solutions for complex, ambiguous problems, such as designing rate level indications or integrating machine learning and AI into products.
  2. Utilize statistical and mathematical techniques to support decision-making.
  3. Lead actuarial projects, including developing new pricing methodologies or reporting tools.
  4. Provide expertise on complex topics and influence business decisions.
  5. Lead cross-functional initiatives and partner with IT to align technical standards.
  6. Manage vendor relationships and translate strategic objectives into tactical solutions.
  7. Stay current on market trends and develop strategies to address emerging risks.
  8. Communicate complex data-driven insights effectively to diverse audiences, including executive leadership.
  9. Manage risks in accordance with policies and procedures.
What You Have
  1. Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of related experience; substitution possible.
  2. 8+ years of actuarial or analytical experience with ACAS, or 6+ years with FCAS.
  3. Expertise in actuarial, mathematical, and statistical techniques.
  4. Advanced knowledge of data analysis tools (Python, R, SQL, SAS, BI tools).
  5. Experience communicating complex analyses to leadership.

Compensation range: $164,780 - $314,960.

Employees are paid within the market-based salary range, with potential incentives based on performance.
