Job summary

National Interstate Insurance Company is launching a Graduate Development Program in Richfield, OH. The role focuses on learning actuarial techniques, pricing, reserving analyses, and basic statistics while gaining exposure to company operations and systems.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in actuarial science, math, statistics, CS, or related fields, with 0–6 months of related experience and a readiness to sit for the first actuarial exam.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• 0–6 months of related experience.
• Prepared to sit for 1st Actuarial Exam.

Responsibilities

• Learns various actuarial techniques and procedures.
• Becomes familiar with company operations, systems, and actuarial methodologies.
• Updates data in established pricing and reserving analyses.
• Becomes familiar with basic statistical techniques.
• Improves upon basic knowledge in Excel and introduced to programming and other actuarial software.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

To support this, employees in this role are expected to be on-site four days a week, with the flexibility to work one day remotely.
