Job summary

Reliance Matrix is offering a 2027 Actuarial Summer Intern program in Philadelphia. You will gain hands-on experience supporting actuarial work across our lines of business, working with data, reporting, pricing, loss experience, and rate adequacy while learning from seasoned actuaries.

The internship runs for 10 weeks, with hybrid in-office and remote elements, and provides exposure to underwriting, claims, and sales partners.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, CS, IT, or related field.
• Strong academic performance and interest in actuarial work, data analysis, insurance, or financial services.
• Curious, collaborative, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Previous work, volunteer, leadership, or community involvement experience preferred.

The expected hiring range for this position is $17.68 - $21.87 hourly for work performed in the primary location (Philadelphia, PA). This expected hiring range covers only base pay and excludes any other compensation components such as commissions or incentive awards. The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be based on several factors including work location, job‑related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. Work location may be flexible if approved by the Company.
