Job summary

Odyssey Reinsurance Company (OdysseyRe) offers a 10-week Summer Internship in Actuarial, based in Stamford, CT. The role combines in-office work four days a week with one remote day, providing hands-on experience shadowing actuarial professionals and learning pricing/modeling techniques.

Interns will assist with pricing models, dashboards, and data analysis, while gaining exposure to underwriting collaboration and career development within OdysseyGroup.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in actuarial science or a related mathematical field with a GPA of 3.2+
• Familiarity with Excel is required
• Experience with VBA, Tableau, SQL, R, Python or similar software is a plus

Responsibilities

• Shadow actuarial staff and assist in evaluating profitability of reinsurance proposals
• Build and improve pricing models used by the department
• Develop dashboards and data visualizations to relay information to clients
