Role Overview

This role is staffed as a Specialist working on the Programs’ Pricing portfolio. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Ability to learn new pricing techniques in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills with a professional presence
  • Problem solving, innovation, teamwork, and speed to action
Key Responsibilities
  1. Learn about diverse books of business across various lines including healthcare, warranty, workers’ compensation, professional liability, and property.
  2. Generate actuarial indications alongside Pricing leadership, discussing non-rate strategies for niche books of business.
  3. Own a portfolio of Programs, building relationships across Pricing, Reserving, Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, and other units, leveraging insights to create business recommendations.
  4. Complete project work relevant to the portfolio, spanning across the Programs planning unit or other Pricing areas.
  5. Assist in setting the financial forecast for the E&S Programs Pricing books.
  6. Explore new software packages and make recommendations.
Preferred Experience
  • Typically, 2-4 years of proven experience in P&C insurance with a focus on pricing.
  • Open to students still taking exams and requiring exam support.
Location and Work Arrangement
  • Positions available in Columbus (OH), Scottsdale (AZ), or Des Moines (IA).
  • Hybrid work arrangement: 2 days in office, 3 days remote.
