Job summary

The Standard’s Individual Annuities division seeks an Actuarial Associate to support VM-22 valuation modeling, AXIS enhancements, and related governance processes. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy solving problems, explaining results, and expanding their modeling skill set within a collaborative team.

The position offers opportunities to participate in pricing, FP&A, ALM, and potential strategic initiatives, with a clear path for advancement as experience grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science, business, or related field.
• 3+ years of actuarial experience sufficient to have gained a seasoned perspective.
• ASA designation or equivalent is required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Support AXIS model enhancements and VM-22 valuation processes.
• Assist with model structure, assumptions, and runtime optimization.
• Develop governance, validation readiness, and change-management practices.
• Collaborate with valuation, pricing, FP&A, and investment teams to ensure consistent results.
• Analyze model output to identify drivers, limitations, and improvement opportunities.
