Job summary

The Standard’s Individual Annuities division seeks an Actuarial Associate to support VM-22 implementation, AXIS model enhancements, and analytics. This role emphasizes process excellence, modeling development, and collaboration across valuation, pricing, FP&A, and investments.

The position offers opportunities to contribute to governance, change management, and future analytics initiatives within a high-performance actuarial team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years actuarial experience with a focus on individual annuities.
• Achievement of actuarial exams (minimum 3) required for level II.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to explain reserve movements.

Responsibilities

• Support AXIS model enhancements and VM-22 valuation processes.
• Assist pricing, FP&A, and ALM teams with model outputs and governance.
• Improve model structure, assumptions, and runtime performance.
• Collaborate with valuation, pricing, investments, and governance groups.
• Explore automation and cloud integration for scalability.
