Job summary

Prosperity Life is seeking an Actuarial Manager, Model Development, to lead the modeling team in a fast-paced growth environment. You will advance actuarial architecture, improve governance, and deliver high-quality models for financial reporting and strategic initiatives.

The role emphasizes automation, scalability, and collaboration with stakeholders across the organization. Strong ASA credentials and 5+ years of actuarial modeling experience are required.

Qualifications

• ASA certification required or in progress.
• 5+ years of actuarial experience in modeling, valuation, or related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and business partnering skills.
• Ability to balance technical execution with strategic thinking.
• Proven ability to independently manage projects and deliver results.
• Experience with MG-ALFA or similar asset-liability cash flow modeling platforms.
• Familiarity with U.S. Statutory accounting, including PBR and U.S. GAAP (LDTI).
• Knowledge of life and annuity products.
• Technical proficiency in SQL, R, and/or Python.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance actuarial models supporting statutory reporting, including Cash Flow Testing and PBR.
• Support models used for Embedded Value, Business Planning, and U.S. GAAP reporting under LDTI.
• Ensure models are accurate, reliable, and aligned with business and reporting objectives.
• Streamline and automate legacy model input and output processes to improve efficiency and controls.
• Develop and implement modeling standards, governance practices, and documentation.
• Enhance the overall user experience and effectiveness of actuarial modeling tools.
• Execute initiatives supporting future-state modeling platform strategy.
• Lead and support model conversion efforts as part of modernization initiatives.
• Contribute to projects focused on improving actuarial architecture, scalability, and operational effectiveness.
• Support strategic initiatives including in-force management analysis, actuarial due diligence, regulatory field testing, and model validation.
• Translate technical analyses into actionable recommendations for broader audiences.
