Job summary

Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey is seeking a senior Actuary Manager II to lead the No Surprises Act (NSA) actuarial team. You will oversee forecasts, reserves, financial analyses, and reporting, collaborating with Actuarial, Finance, Operations, Legal, and vendor teams to improve data collection and monitoring.

You will develop documentation, create recurring NSA reports, and drive data quality improvements, integrating NSA data into reserving, forecasting, and financial reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Sciences or related field is required.
• 7+ years actuarial or statistics experience with ASA attainment.
• Prefers supervisory experience.
• Exposure to NSA highly preferred.
• ASA is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the NSA actuarial workstream, including forecasts, reserve estimates, liability monitoring, profitability analyses, and financial impact assessments.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to gather, validate, and interpret data for NSA analysis and reporting.
• Document data sources, assumptions, methodologies, processes, and reporting definitions for auditability.
