Job summary

VNS Health is seeking an experienced actuarial leader to manage monthly IBNR development and liability valuations, while reconciling claims data with the general ledger. The role requires coordinating with CMS, NAIC, DOH, and auditors, driving data-driven insights and financial planning across product lines.

The ideal candidate will have an ASA or equivalent, a bachelor’s in a quantitative field, and at least six years of actuarial experience in health care, including supervisory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, or related discipline required.
• Minimum six years of progressively responsible actuarial experience in a Health Plan or similar environment, including supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages monthly IBNR development and liability valuations; reconciles claims data with the general ledger.
• Leads key quantitative and qualitative analyses including MLR reporting and cohort analyses.
• Serves as actuarial project lead for CMS, NAIC, DOH, rate reviewers, auditors, etc., and supports audit materials.
