The Segal Company (Eastern States), Inc. is offering an Actuarial (Health/Retirement) Internship for 2027 in the Finance group.

You will work on real client deliverables, develop technical and interpersonal skills, and gain exposure to retirement and health practices across multiple offices. Hybrid internships are available in locations including New York, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, and more as Segal provides analytical, data-driven project work and opportunities for professional

Qualifications

Pursuit of your undergraduate or graduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline.
Actuarial exams: demonstrated progress with successful completion of at least one exam.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (specifically Excel and Word); programming knowledge is a plus.
Strong time and project management skills.
Diligent attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills.
Excellent communication (verbal/written) and ability to take action and be proactive.
Ability to interact effectively with a diverse audience as well as work independently with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

Work on client deliverables and interesting assignments.
Contribute to data analyses, research, and government filings in health and retirement projects.
Perform valuations and benefit calculations.
Engage in ad-hoc assignments and develop solutions for client issues.
