The role supports undergraduate or graduate students pursuing actuarial science or related fields, with opportunity to progress through exams and practical experience at Segal.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of your undergraduate or graduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline.
• Actuarial exams: demonstrated progress with successful completion of at least one exam.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel and Word); programming knowledge is a plus.
• Strong time and project management skills.
• Diligent attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication (verbal/written) and ability to take action and be proactive.
• Ability to interact effectively with a diverse audience as well as work independently with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Work on client deliverables and interesting assignments for Segal.
• Contribute to development of solutions to challenging client issues across retirement and health practices.
• Engage in client studies, data analyses, research, government filings, valuations, benefit calculations and ad-hoc assignments.
