Job summary

NJM Insurance Group invites dynamic Actuarial Interns to learn by assisting various projects in the Actuarial department. You will be assigned to Personal Auto Pricing, Property Pricing, Commercial Lines pricing, or Reserving, and participate in seminars and networking events.

Responsibilities include applying basic actuarial techniques, gaining data skills in Excel/SQL/SAS/Power BI, and presenting findings to management. The program offers leadership exposure and hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• Sophomores and Juniors pursuing Math, Actuarial, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, or other quantitative field.
• Strong Excel, SQL, SAS, and Power BI familiarity.
• Willingness to learn Property & Casualty insurance concepts.

Responsibilities

• Learn Actuarial techniques and apply them to real business problems.
• Utilize Excel, SQL, SAS, and/or Power BI on projects.
• Lead a pricing or reserving project and present findings to management.
• Support ongoing projects with actuaries in the department.
