Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions seeks an Actuarial Intern to join the Corporate Actuarial team in Plymouth, MN or Boston, MA on a hybrid schedule starting in early June 2027 for 10–12 weeks. You will learn essential actuarial disciplines and contribute to meaningful projects.

You will gain exposure to reserving, predictive modeling, stochastic modeling, data reporting, and information management while supporting day-to-day tasks as an entry-level actuarial professional.

Qualificações

• Pursuing bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science/Math/Statistics, graduating 2027 or later.
• Proficiency with Windows OS, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and data-entry/spreadsheet apps.
• Strong mathematical aptitude.
• Actuarial exams completed or in progress is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

The opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for an Actuarial Intern to join our Corporate Actuarial team in our Plymouth, MN or Boston, MA offices on a hybrid schedule. We are seeking bright and motivated students who are interested in learning from a talented Actuarial team! During your internship, you will have the opportunity to assist on various projects within our Corporate Actuarial division. The projected start date is early June 2027, and the internship will last approximately 10-12 weeks.

What you will learn:
As an Intern, you will be given a solid overview of property-casualty insurance and Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions’ operations. This position provides challenging, practical, and meaningful work experience in one or more of the following disciplines:

• Actuarial reserving
• Predictive modeling
• Stochastic financial modeling
• Data collection and reporting
• Information management

You will focus on developing the skills necessary for success by working with and assisting professionals with day-to-day job assignments and special projects. While your assignments will vary over time as you gain experience and skills, interns will typically perform some of the work of an entry-level actuarial professional.

Qualifications:

• Must be working towards a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field and graduating in December 2027 or later
• Proficiency with computer software including current Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and other data entry and spreadsheet applications and programs
• Strong mathematical aptitude
• Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams is a plus
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills

Salary Range: $30 - $42/hour
