Job summary

Humana offers a 12-week actuarial internship in Louisville, Kentucky, for current undergraduate or graduate students. The role focuses on applying actuarial concepts to real business challenges and supporting Humana’s enterprise priorities.

You will work on data collection, pricing, reserving, forecasting, and financial reporting while developing analytical, communication, and professional skills. Housing stipend is provided, with potential for part-time work after the internship.

Qualifications

• Current full-time student in undergrad or grad programs related to actuarial science, math, or statistics.
• Available for full-time, 40 hours per week, May 24 – August 13, 2027.
• In-person work in Louisville, Kentucky for the duration.
• No sponsorship required to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Collect, validate, and analyze data for product development, pricing, reserving, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review experience reports and rate analyses.
• Identify trends, document analyses and findings for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with actuarial teams and business partners on enterprise initiatives.
• Participate in onboarding, professional development, and networking activities.
• Present project work and recommendations to the team.
