Job summary

Network Health is seeking a motivated Actuarial Intern to gain hands-on experience in the health insurance industry. The internship focuses on supporting financial performance, pricing, reserving, forecasting and reporting with a summer project. The program includes leadership mentoring and group activities.

The internship runs May 24, 2027 through mid-August in Brookfield, WI, with hybrid options and occasional travel to Menasha for the first day.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics with a desire to pursue actuarial exams and accreditation.
• Prior work experience is not required; candidates must have completed at least one year of higher education at an accredited university.
• Knowledge of general finance or accounting principles.
• Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
• Prior programming / coding experience (SAS/SQL preferrable).
• Strong analytical aptitude combined with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Validation testing of new data sources to existing with reporting identifying variances in written communication.
• User testing of portal functionality and data to existing source system results.
• Correction of any data integrity issues.
• Assist in creation of new routine exhibits/schedules for new governance meetings related to reserves, gain share and other significant estimates.
• Demonstrate commitment and behavior aligned with the philosophy, mission, values and vision of Network Health.
• Appropriately apply all organizational, regulatory, and credentialing principles, procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
