Job summary

KPMG LLP seeks an Actuarial Intern to join our Audit and Assurance team. You will work with actuarial staff on reserves, develop models, and analyze data to assess risks and forecast financial outcomes.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in actuarial science or related programs, with coursework in data analysis and Excel. Travel may be required and remote work options could be available depending on business needs.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, or related degree.
• Must have additional academic credits to complete before degree and CPA eligibility requirements.
• Preferred GPA 3.0 or above.
• Pursuit of Actuarial Exams preferred; passing at least one exam at time of application.
• Knowledge of data analysis techniques; proficient with MS Office (Excel).

Responsibilities

• Assist actuarial staff with reviewing client reserves and actuarial liabilities.
• Prepare and analyze data; develop actuarial models and apply statistical techniques.
• Evaluate risks for insurance products and support risk management insights.
• Engage with clients to gather data and translate concepts into insights.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver actuarial consulting services.
