Job summary

Kuvare is seeking an Actuarial Intern to contribute to Life and Annuity valuation, modeling, forecasting, pricing, and product management initiatives. You will work on asset liability management and enterprise risk management tasks while gaining broad exposure to actuarial workflows.

Interns will help monitor reserves, support statutory reporting, and assist with external audits. A collaborative, learning-minded environment awaits in Illinois.

Qualifications

• Progress toward, or completion of a BA/BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, or related area
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Flexible can-do attitude, willing to help out with all types of tasks
• Passion to learn new things and design new solutions

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor reserve trends monthly on GAAP, statutory, and tax accounting bases
• Develop management reporting for existing business
• Assist in preparation of Statutory Annual and Quarterly Statements
• Update models and organize results for management
• Produce, present, and improve monthly business monitoring reporting
• Assist in development and analyze annual Illustration Actuary testing models
• Assist on Product related projects and requests
• Modeling: build and review model inputs for financial projections
