Great West Casualty Company in South Sioux City, NE is seeking an Actuarial Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in the insurance industry. You will support the actuarial group with data analysis, modeling, and reporting under guidance from seasoned professionals.

This internship offers exposure to pricing, reserving, risk assessment, and collaboration across the organization, helping you develop technical skills while preparing for an actuarial career.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or expected to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in pursuing an actuarial career path; exam progress (preferred) (e.g., Exam P and/or Exam FM).
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools; programming knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support actuarial studies through data collection, validation, and analysis.
• Assist with pricing, reserving, and profitability analysis projects.
• Support development and maintenance of actuarial models and reports.
• Analyze trends in claims, underwriting, and financial data; prepare reports and presentations.
