GFB in Georgia seeks an actuarial/science graduate to assist in applying mathematical techniques and models to test rate levels for profitability and provide statistical justification for rate revisions.

You will collaborate with the Underwriting Department on projects, read and interpret procedures, and communicate findings clearly. A 3.0 GPA in actuarial science, mathematics, or statistics is required, along with proficiency in Excel.

• Must read, analyze and interpret procedures, regulations, instructions, manuals and other documents.
• Excellent telephone, public relations and oral/written communication skills.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS

May be called upon by members in the Underwriting Department to work on projects.

QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics major required with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Must be able to read, analyze and interpret procedures, regulations, instructions, manuals and other documents as required. Excellent telephone, public relations and oral/written communication skills are required.

Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.

Must possess personal computer skills to include, but not limited to: experience with Windows, word processing, internet and proficiency with Excel.
