Job summary

Kuvare Holdings seeks an Actuarial Intern to join the Corporate Management team. You will gain exposure to Life and Annuity Valuation, Modeling and Forecasting, Pricing and Product Management, Asset Liability Management, and Enterprise Risk Management.

Your day-to-day work varies by function and includes preparing reserve trends, developing management reporting, supporting statutory financial statements, and assisting with model updates and external audits. Strong analytical skills required.

Qualifications

• Progress towards, or completion of a BA/BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, or related area.
• Success in passing at least one SOA/CAS exam preferred.

Responsibilities

• Valuation tasks: prepare and monitor reserve trends for GAAP, statutory, and tax bases; develop management reporting; assist in statutory statements; update models; assist with external auditor inspections.

About the role

The Actuarial Internship forKuvare Corporate Management(KCM)is designed to offer an array of experiences including Life and Annuity Valuation, Modeling and Forecasting, Pricing and Product Management, Asset Liability Management, and Enterprise Risk Management.

What you'll do

As aninternyour day-to-day activities will be dependent on the function you are supporting and are expected to change throughout your internship.Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to

Valuation tasks

• Prepare and helpmonitorreserve trends monthly on GAAP, statutory, and tax accounting bases
• Develop management reporting for existing business
• Assistin preparation of Statutory Annual and Quarterly Statements
• Update models and organize results for management.
• Assistin gathering information and analysis for external auditor inspections

Product Management tasks

• Produce, present, and improve monthly business monitoring reporting
• Provide insight and analysis toinforceexperience trends
• Assistin the development and analyze annual Illustration Actuary testing models
• Assiston special policy illustration requests
• Assist on Product related projects and requests

Modeling and Forecasting tasks

• Build and review model inputs to support financial projection capability
• Execute andmonitormodel projections including troubleshooting model calculations
• Analyze model output ensuring accuracy with intended model purpose

Qualifications

Experience

• Progress towards, or completion of a BA/BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, or related area
