The role oversees underwriting services, builds models, and partners across internal teams on complex benefit issues.

The leader mentors analysts, provides client-focused insights, and drives growth and retention through robust reporting, coaching, and collaborative training initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years of broker or carrier experience in health and benefits.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and MS Office.
• Familiarity with carrier reporting systems.
• Strong interpersonal and client-facing communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of underwriting professionals and provide strategic guidance and financial analysis.
• Deliver ad hoc financial reports to support client consultants and plan performance reviews.
• Coordinate reporting processes with carriers and vendors for accurate data communication.
• Analyze underwriting projects and initiatives to support client objectives and business growth.
• Mentor and coach analysts and consultants to foster professional development.
• Lead client-facing meetings and act as a trusted consultant on benefits, underwriting, and financial issues.
• Develop and deliver underwriting training programs for staff and clients.
• Support business development with financial projections and underwriting analyses for prospects and large accounts.
