Job summary

Willis Towers Watson’s Actuarial Delivery Group (ADG) in the North American Retirement line offers an internship aimed at learning retirement valuation, data analysis, and reporting. You will work on pension projections, government filings, and special projects as part of a structured training program.

The role targets students pursuing degrees in actuarial science, math, or statistics, with strong quantitative coursework and GPA.

Qualifications

• Progress toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other quantitative major; GPA min 3.0.
• Current college student (at least sophomore) enrolled in a quantitatively focused program.
• Actuarial exams not required for ADG colleagues.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) knowledge.
• Strong written and verbal communication, time management, and client-delivery orientation.
• Ability to work independently and on client teams.
• Must be able to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Internship dates: June 1, 2027 – August 6, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Participate in training sessions and learn retirement valuation processes.
• Perform actuarial valuations and prepare valuation reports.
• Analyze pension plan data and reconcile participant data.
• Compute pension benefits using established spreadsheets or plan systems.
• Prepare government reporting forms and employee benefit statements.
• Support special projects and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project requirements.
