Job summary

PEMCO is seeking a Data Scientist - Actuarial to conduct actuarial and predictive analyses for product development, pricing, and reserving. The role supports decision-making with data-driven insights and process improvements.

The candidate will collaborate with product managers and actuaries, build scalable data models, and document workflows. A strong background in actuarial science and proficiency in Python/R/SAS/SQL are required.

Qualifications

• Requires 3+ years of actuarial/statistical predictive modeling experience.
• 1+ year in property and casualty insurance industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support for actuarial and product development.
• Conduct predictive modeling and multivariate analysis.
• Assist with development and implementation of rates, rating plans, pricing strategies and financial analysis.
• Participate with product managers and actuaries in strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with Product Team and other units to deliver business solutions.
• Document system workflows and business processes.
• Build tools and processes to create efficiencies.
