Job summary

FMNE Insurance is seeking a Data Analytics Intern to join our Actuarial Department for Summer 2027. The paid internship offers hands-on experience in data analytics, working with data to uncover insights and support pricing, reserving, and other actuarial functions.

The role collaborates with Data Scientists, Actuarial Analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data quality, governance, and the delivery of dashboards and reports that empower data-informed decisions across the business.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in MIS, CS, or other analytical fields.
• Knowledge of SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI or equivalent.
• Familiar with Python and/or R.
• Strong ability and desire to use technology to solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ETL/ELT data preparation for actuarial analyses.
• Create tables, views and procedures to support actuarial processes.
• Develop dashboards and reports for stakeholders to drive data-informed decisions.
• Ensure data governance and security standards are followed.
