Each intern is paired with a dedicated manager, mentor, and executive sponsor, and will work on a meaningful summer project.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college or university (Bachelor's or Master's program).
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25.
• Available for full 10-week program (June 2, 2027 to August 6, 2027).
• Must reside near Hartford, CT and be able to commute (in-person).
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship (CPT/OPT not supported).

Responsibilities

• Understanding defined benefit, defined contribution, and retiree healthcare plans.
• Analyzing client data to develop pension plan liabilities.
• Reconciling census changes and gains/losses.
• Preparing ERISA funding valuations and government filings.
• Supporting employer match true-up and non-elective allocations.
• Assisting with cost projections and plan design optimization.
• Developing tools/models to streamline actuarial workflows.
• Performing actuarial research and statistical analyses.
• Delivering an individual and group project.
