Job summary

MetLife’s US Actuarial Development Program offers rotation across core actuarial areas and exposure to senior management. Participants (actuarial students) rotate roughly every two years within RIS/SBR, tackling BAU work and ad hoc projects while pursuing SOA exams.

The ADP supports exam study days, reimbursements, and salary increases, with a hybrid in-office expectation of at least 3 days per week in Massachusetts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, CS, economics or related field.
• GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Passed at least one SOA actuarial exam; willingness to progress toward FSA.
• Strong mathematical, analytical and technical skills; Excel proficiency; Python/SQL/R preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform actuarial calculations, data analysis and risk evaluations.
• Coordinate data initiatives and present research-based recommendations.
• Prepare for SOA exams and progress toward FSA designation.
• ADP provides study days, material reimbursements, exam salary increases and support.
• Balance work responsibilities with actuarial studies.
