Job summary

Verisk Maplecroft in Jersey City, NJ is seeking an Actuarial Associate to contribute pricing knowledge to non-admitted/E&S property lines. You will join a growing actuarial team and develop innovative actuarial solutions for complex risk in a fast-moving market.

Hybrid from Jersey City or remote within the Eastern time zone, with flexibility for other zones. Strong data skills and collaboration across Verisk units are required for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related major.
• At least 4–6 years actuarial experience with a focus on E&S property pricing.
• ACAS with Exam 5 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative actuarial solutions for complex risks that don’t fit traditional admitted market frames.
• Navigate and synthesize disparate data sources typical of E&S property space.
• Support data intake processes for contributory E&S premium, loss, and exposure data.
• Analyze data to develop property analytics and pricing for E&S customers.
• Solve client problems with minimal guidance using client data and actuarial teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver client solutions.
• Own workstreams end-to-end from problem definition to delivery.
• Identify roadblocks and drive next steps toward scalable solutions.
