Job summary

Aon is seeking an experienced Actuarial Associate Director to lead reserving and pricing initiatives for an insurance and reinsurance client base. The role emphasizes quarterly reserving, modeling, and advisory work within the Strategy and Technology Group.

The position requires ACAS or equivalent credentials, 7+ years in reserving, and proficiency in R, SQL, and Python. Strong leadership and regulatory knowledge are essential; hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• ACAS or equivalent credential required.
• 7+ years of experience in Actuarial Reserving and Reserve Analysis for P&C insurance.
• Experience with NAIC Statements of Actuarial Opinions is preferred.
• Experience in actuarial pricing methods, GLMs, machine learning, and regulatory frameworks is preferred.
• Proven leadership in client-facing roles, with a track record of delivering pricing and modeling solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, analysis, and presentation of quarterly loss and LAE reserve levels.
• Conduct data exploration, forecasting, and modeling to identify trends and drivers of reserve results.
• Oversee allocation of held bulk reserves to granular levels and support accounting for loss-based accruals.
• Perform quality assurance and peer reviews for technical accuracy and standards.
• Review procedures and propose improvements for efficiency and client value.
