Job summary

Brighthouse Financial in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Actuarial Assistant within the Liability Analytics & Services team. You will assist in generating and validating scenario inputs for actuarial and finance partners, maintaining controls, and delivering analytical insights to support hedging related reporting.

You will work with Python and SQL, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and gain exposure through a 24‑month rotational program with automatic salary increases as exams are passed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical/ quantitative field.
• Passed 2 actuarial exams and pursuing SOA ASA.
• Experience with Python and SQL; strong programming aptitude.
• Experience with actuarial modeling software, PathWise preferred.
• Strong analytical problem solving and communication skills.
• Excellent project and time management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in generating and validating scenario inputs for actuarial and finance partners.
• Maintain accuracy and controls around production processes.
• Provide analytical insights for hedging-related reporting and strategy.
• Collaborate with actuarial, hedging, and cross-functional partners.
• Coordinate with IT to improve development workspace and code releases.
• Develop and document analytical tools to improve efficiency.
