Actuarial Analytics Specialist - P&C (28265)
  • Compensation: $125,000-$135,000+ annually
What you’ll do as the Actuarial Analytics Specialist:
  • Forecast financial exposure by utilizing broad knowledge of advanced statistical methodologies to analyze and interpret complex data surrounding new business and develop recommendations to mitigate risk and achieve profitability goals
  • Support pricing and financial planning by performing actuarial studies; advise leaders on pricing and financial strategies and policies
  • Develop actuarial analysis and modeling tools
  • Monitor, evaluate and report trends and outside developments to ensure adopted methods are robust and valid for business use
  • Ensure utilization of industry best practices by managing and revising actuarial systems, models and procedures to encourage efficiency and organizational competitiveness in the market
  • Guide decision-making by researching new business and analyzing data to advise senior level actuaries and other departments on profitable business opportunities
  • Research and develop approaches for writing new lines and products
  • Design and automate dashboard tools for monitoring key performance metrics across various program portfolios
What you’ll bring to the Actuarial Analytics Specialist role:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, Economics or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of related work experience with actuarial analyses in area of responsibility; Property and Casualty actuarial field required
  • Open to pursuing Fellowship with Casualty Actuary Society
  • Advanced working knowledge of specialized math including calculus, statistics, and probability
  • Advanced working knowledge of complex actuarial pricing techniques and best practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Python is a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
